Maintains Windows, ASP, Cold Fusion,vb.Net, ActiveX server applications and vendor applications. Provides technicalconsulting support on projects or system issues. Develops business knowledgeand relationships to integrate activities with other IT departments to ensuresuccessful implementation and support of project efforts. Fosters and maintainsrelationships with clients from Business Units, provides business and technicalconsultation, and meets expected service levels. Under leadership and tacticalsupervision of a Software Project Lead, directs small projects or regularlycoaches other personnel to ensure business application systems are developed ina way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologiesand practices. Understands and supports IT strategic and departmentaldirection, and the IT process improvement initiatives. Can evaluate applicationsoftware packages and make recommendations to management. Participates withother IT members, customers, and other stakeholders in new product reviews,tests, and pilots. Collects and analyzes business requirements for projects.Performs feasibility studies and translates requirements into an appropriatedesign. Communicates with external vendors and internal IT departments toassure vendor deliverables meet client expectations. Coordinates withexternal vendors and internal IT departments to assure that deliverables meetand follow all IT policies and guidelines. Identifies conflicting businesspractices and integration issues and suggest alternative solutions. Monitorsand reports to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating andidentifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals andimplementing corrective actions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Abachelor''s degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering.Must have five years of experience in business application design, development,installation and modification in an online environment. A minimum of fiveyears experience in client/server and web development (Cold Fusion5 and 8,ASP.net, C#, VB.net HTML, etc.). Experience with SQL in the installation andsupport of applications is required. Experience with web services a must.Experience with Java a plus. Must have a strong technical knowledge andhands-on experience with business applications in the client server and the webenvironment. The candidate must have good verbal and written communicationskills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts in non-technicalterms. Must be able to work well on cross- functional project teams and fosterteam commitment to tasks, as well as the ability to work well with vendors toachieve client objectives. Experience with versioncontrol software required, MKS is a plus. Experience with systemsintegration in a complex architectural environment a plus, knowledge ofsecurity software best practices is required and authentication software(Siteminder) a plus.
