My parents really influenced who I am today. They met while working at a newspaper - my mom was a food editor and writer, and my dad was a photographer. Since then, my dad has been in sales, and my mom has done work in advertising, writing, public relations, member benefits and marketing. She has shown me that although you may go to college for one thing, you never know where your life will take you. By expanding your skills, you become a valuable resource to employers. Even if your current position gets eliminated - they will fight to keep you in a different position. My mom has worked at the same company for over 10 years, but as economic times change, so has her position. She has always been doing similar things, but by expanding her knowledge and skills, she is a valuable resource that they fight to keep.

I hope to keep expanding my skills so that clients find me valuable. They can come for me for a complete package of services (logo, website, letterhead, business cards, press release, etc.), instead of having to shop around to multiple vendors, costing them time and money.

I love networking with other people, because you never know how you can be of value to eachother in the future - sharing skills, leads, jobs, references and tips helps both parties grow their business and personal lives.
