My background is in telecommunications (having contributed to the creation of the GSM mobile phone standard).  I am an expert application developer (Flex AS3, AIR, Flash), with over 21 years experience in cutting-edge technologies, an expert in object oriented software development and one of the original pioneers of RIAs.  I started using Flash and ActionScript to develop sophisticated applications in 2001.
