<p>After 37 years with the same company I was laid off 4 years ago when they filed for bankruptcy.&nbsp; I couldn't face returning to Corporate America after taking the summer off, so I started Holmes Editorial Services and now I work from home.&nbsp; I do everything from writing client newsletters to designing bookmarks, from critiquing manuscripts to writing back cover blurbs for novels.&nbsp; I live on a small farm with 2 of everything: 2 horses, 2 cats,&nbsp;2 dogs, and 2 nostrils plugged up with allergies.</p>
