Photography has always been one of my primary interests. My first SLR camera (a Nikon EM) I bought back in 1982 with one of my first paychecks. Black and white film was cheap and easy to develop and often irritated my sisters when I developed my film in the shared upstairs bathroom. That’s where it all began, an upstairs bathroom with a very basic 35mm SLR camera.
Since then, I’ve taken my Nikon all of the World; Mexico, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Yugoslavia, France and Austria. One of my favorite shoots included my friend Craig where we followed Greg Lamond around the Giro de Italia (Tour of Italy).
I'm originally from the mid-west. Today, my wife and I and our four children live just north of Denver, Colorado, near Boulder. It's not often I don't have a camera in my hand and when I'm not shooting, I'm reading and studying different techniques and approaches to capture a variety of picture. I have found that the better the picture out of the camera, the more creative the options with the post shoot processing.
