Dan Orlando is an Adobe Community Professional and Flash Platform Developer with Universal Mind; specializing in enterprise class Flex and AIR applications. Dan has also written a number of articles and white papers on the Flash Platform for PHP Architect Magazine, IBM developerWorks, Adobe Developer Connection, Amazon Developer Connection, Flash and Flex Developer Magazine, InsideRIA, the Zend Developer Network, and the Mapquest Developer Network.

Dan's book titles include: Author of "Flex 4 in Action" (Manning Press), and Technical Editor for "Professional Papervision3D"(Wiley/Wrox).

Dan has played a role in the development of several important ActionScript 3 libraries, including the Amazon Web Services S3 integration library, an AMF server that runs on C++, and an open source REST library for Flex.

Aside from development, Dan is co-founder of Sonic Masterworks (sonicmasterworks.com), a medium-sized independent record label in Phoenix. Under SMW, Dan goes by the name "XtatiK" as a DJ, artist, and producer.
