<p>A graduate in technology (formerly I.A.) from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA I purchased my first computer in 1970 a Texas Instrument unit for civil engineering and surveying. My next machine was an Apple IIe in 1984; followed by a Macintosh SE/30 in 1991 (used); then a new 8500 in '95; that was really awesome and still works; so an unpresidented 10 yrs later I got my G5 tower and shortly there after the macbook pro. I use the last two daily. I have really enjoyed having the powerbook. My love of technology prompted my major and today I embrace it daily. I had two concentrations: material and processes &amp; graphics. The graphics I have done since 1969 and have embraced the ability to do it digitally rather than the ole wax up boards. I still draw and paint. I belong to a Japanese painting group and we paint sumi-e style. I do lettering arts, and bookarts. For the Materials/Processes I do woodworking, laminate, plumbing, electrical and glass. In glass I sandblast and fuse and recently have begun learning casting and blowing. There is a lot to learn in working with glass. It is so beautiful and has many challenges. I became active in the Macintosh user group in the mid 90's and in 2003 began a Macromedia User Group to help me locate like-minded web people. Then MM was acquired by Adobe and I moved into their program... and the rest is, as they say... history. There is much I don't know. Much I'd like to know. Some I'll never know. But what I know is that I love learning.</p>
