      Agenda:
Andy Allan - Advanced PDF Workflow with ColdFusion

Placing an order, or receiving an order for some goods or services can be a long drawn out process involving: completing numerous forms, requiring multiple authorising signatures, providing different personnel with a copy of all the forms, waiting on finance to provide a Purchase Order number and so on. There's nothing good about this process.

In this session we'll see how ColdFusion can improve this process and ultimately make the workflow more streamlined and more importantly, make sure you get that copy of Guitar Hero: World Tour much sooner to help boost the developers morale.

Mark Drew - Introduction to ModelGlue

      Mark Drew - Reactor

      Session info coming soon

Luis Majano - The ColdBox Framework

This session will cover a brief intro to the novel features of ColdBox and then go into details about what it offers as a Development Platform. At the end Luis will showcase the multiple samples and application generation.

Peter Haak - "Security Awareness" - Common Security Flaws in Web Applications

Overview of the top 10 of the most common security vulnerablities of web applications with examples and solutions.

Harry Klein - MXUnit - Integrating unit testing with MXUnit into your development cycle

This session will not cover unit testing basics, but the integration of MXUnit into the development cycle.
First we will discuss the MXUnit Framework installation and configuration. Then we'll learn how to setup the environment for testing, how to integrate MXUnit into Eclipse (using the Eclipse Plugin) and how to configure the test stub generator. We go into details about how to use the Ant task and integrate MXUnit with CruiseControl.

Gert Franz - The Extension Manager in Railo 3.1

      Session info coming soon

Darren Pywell - Announcing FusionAnalytics - "Seeing is believing"

We've all had issues with server crashes, instability or poor application performance - no program is completely error free. Typically though, people wait until things "go bad" until they do something about it. The clues to why these things occur are almost always embedded in various log-files that have accumulated over time. The first part of the presentation will focus on tools ä resources available to find you this information.

Once you have the data, the difficult part is how to interpret and analyze it. Whether you're investigating failure analysis or you're interested in continuous improvement of your application - you have to be able to analyze and understand vast amounts of complex data. We will be demonstrating our latest addition to the Fusion product suite - FusionAnalytics - which lets you do just that.

    • Depending on how well my talk goes down, considering this is the first time I've given it, we may schedule it in for the new year for the SCFUG.
