To close out the year, a new feature has been added to Adobe Groups: User to User messaging.
Logged-in users will see an Inbox link in their profile, and a link and icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. You can use this to send private messages to anyone in your Network.
A notice of new messages received will be sent to the e-mail address in your Profile. If you want to turn this off, you can do so in in your profile settings.
Happy holidays!

woot!
Hi,
It's possible at this time or will be, as a group manager to send an email to all group members?
Yes, a mechanism for Group owners to message members (to their email inboxes) is in design and development right now, and should be released some time this quarter.
Sweet. I totally just emailed Rachel about that today! Ignore my email Rachel. But not my other ones :)
DD -- thanks for asking, but that's a question better asked at the Adobe User to User forums, which focus very closely on product support:

Woow~ good job.
Any ETA for a RSVP tool? We'd probably really consider ditching our current affug.com website for Adobe Groups if a RSVP tool was in place.

^ ^
working on it.... no ETA currently.
hello
By RSVP tool, I assume you are refering to the EventBrite service that now seems to be linked to the various CFUG events?
Great feature which I use regularly, thank you for implementing it!
But it has one bug (I guess): when I receive an email message notification, all non-latin characters are unreadable, it seems to be the Unicode support issue.
It would be very good to have it fixed!
Hey Rostislav,
The e-mails should be UTF-8. Could it be your e-mail client or system? I just double checked a couple languages and received notifications in chinese and russian in Apple's Mail.app and gmail.
Let me know what you find.
Best,
Robert
Hi Robert, thank you for the reply! I'm using PC / Windows XP and notifications coming to Gmail.
May I send you a test message containing russian phrase?
Thanks,
Rost
Hey Rost,
Please do! I'll check it in a couple environments.
Best,
Robert
Robert, now the problem is fixed — I see all Cyrillic characters in email notifications in right encoding.
Thank you a lot for this nice fix!
Rost
There needs to be a way to turn this feature off! I just joined and already am receiving spam. Most recent is from some clown who calls herself blessings.
blessingkhalifa123@yahoo.com - This is a spammer using Adobe Groups user to user messaging . Anyway to shut them down?
That spammer has been shut down.
If you don't want to receive new message notification, you can turn that off by going to your profile page, clicking "Edit Profile" and then unchecking the box for email notification.
Hi. I'm a lifelong user of PS6.0 (Win) and I need some help. Can you hook me up with someone?
