Current Scenario: Content Provider of our product will upload the content audio/video (wide range format) for streaming from web based Interface (Java) to FMS3 without knowing any encoding methods. Flash Media Encoding Server, which would operate as the encoding engine on the server side, its services would be call through programming language (JAVA).
I would like to know how I can integrate Flash Media Encoding Server through programming language like Java. Moreover Is there any way of encode to multiple copies with different data rates of the same video by using single command through language (JAVA)?
Thanks

There is a robust api for socket and command line execution. All the docs and sample libraries are provided by rhozet and on their site. We are making an AS3 library as well. As per the functionality you can definetly manage outputing multiple data rates and really anything you can do with the admin console from the API. We also developed a testing tool for the FMES written in AIR if you are interested let me know.
I use Coldfusion and Squeeze right now, only because I'm planning on developing out the routines for the FMES at a later date (when I have time to develop it) David, what's up with the AIR application? Any news about the AS3 libraries? Consider API's for the CF FMS Gateway?
Hey Wallville - The AS3 library has grown but nothing we have released publically. Have the AIR app though if you are interested. Happy to post it to the group.
I'd be happy to look at it if you post it. What about the source mxml and the AS3 libraries? I've been stearing clear of Air Apps...only because I'm so behind on my FMIS work. I do have plans this summer to devote to Flex, LiveCycle Data services and tieing it all together through the FMS Gateways on CF. Are you guys doing this as a workgroup or as a company?
