      Title:
What topics would you like to cover at user group meetings?
      Content:
One of the more challenging things about running a user group is selecting topics and presenters. We have a very talented group with a lot of knowledge about Adobe products and Web development in general. What I want to know is what topics would you like to see at our meetings? Do you know something (product, tool, language, technique) that might be beneficial to the group? Would you be willing to present that? The meeting format going forward will likely include 2-3 'mini' presentations on a specific topic or feature. This way we can appeal to a broad audience with several topics each meeting night, and it makes it a little less intimidating to put together a 20-30 minute presentation rather than a 90 minute presentation. I would like to encourage all of you to add comments on this thread. This is our group! Let's make sure that we are covering topics that are interesting and valuable to us. Please add your comments. Your feedback is very valuable.

    • I've used Illustrator since Illustrator88, and would be happy to present something there, but I'm interested to see something in Flash actionscrpt, PHP, css, and especially database integration.
    • I have been working with the adobe dreamweaver development toolbox on the last couple projects that I have done and would love to present on that or on build dynamic sites with dreamweaver in general. I have also done some work with AMFPHP and flash remoting.

    • It would be great to hear from some of the freelancers. How they got started, why they made the leap, how to maintain and gain new clients, pricing expectations, etc.

    • action script, action script, action script :)

    • How to do stuff with Flash like:

      https://www.billyharveymusic.com/

      http://www.nilkaraibrahimgil.com/

      http://www.mis-architecture.co.uk/#/mis/projects/category/all/

(that last one may take a while to load but I have always wanted to know how to place objects in 3d space and navigate them like that site. I used to know better examples of the style but I can't remember them)

I think it is amazing how fast the photos jump from one to the next once they load and I really like the style used to slide through the photos. I would like to learn that.

    • Another suggestion is to learn how to setup a live video feed using flash action script and/or whatever other adobe software is necessary. Then we could broadcast the next meeting.

    • Sounds like we should have you show us some of your Flash tips.  I'd sure like to learn from you. Action Script is still my achilles heel.  Would you be willing to demo this in pieces? Can't cover much actionscript in one session.
