      Title:
      Social Networking Anyone?
      Content:

Just wondering what folks are using...if anything? Do any of the numerous social networking sites/services do anything for you? Personally? Professionally?

I just started using Twitter...trying to figure out what (if anything) it might be good for (follow me at http://twitter.com/der_no). I'm on the LinkedIn network (boy, I need to update that one). And I'm on Facebook...or is it MySpace...the digital detritous that a life online leaves behind... And of course I'm on Adobe Groups!

What do you use and how do you use it? Leave a comment below...and let us know where you're at online so we can find eachother!

    • Tim O'Reilly's posts an argument for Twitter.

    • also on twitter and facebook. Does NOMMUG have a facebook group too?

    • Twitter for the win :)

    • I'm using a few different tools:

      Twitter: http://twitter.com/bouligny
      Last.fm: http://www.last.fm/user/bouligny
      LibraryThing: http://www.librarything.com/home/bouligny

And I just started using Facebook. I'm still trying to figure out how to use Twitter in a way that is valuable. Clearly many, many people find it valuable, so i'm reserving judgment until I consider it truly tested. Not there yet, though. As for Facebook, I really hate the interface. It's one of the worst interfaces i have ever used, and that's saying something.

    • I use twitter to feed the facebook.....

    • I signed up for facebook last week and have already hooked up with friends that I haven't seen in 30 or more years.  This is weird.  The people I have in my life now are not nearly as entertaining as these old guys.  So when I get an invitation to become friends with someone here at home I usually ignore them.  It's the far away people that interest me on facebook.  If I want to see my friends here I just jump in the car and drop by their house.  Catching up with these people that I never thought I would ever see again is really fun and I can't wait till they post something new.

    • I just signed up for Facebook. Still trying to get the lay of the land. I was drawn in by all of the buzz about social networks being THE hot thing! I don't see it yet, but maybe.
