      Agenda:

This session will take place on July 14th at 10AM MTN and will be a discussion and dive into the multitude of video player options out there for streaming Flash Video content. This will be an open discussion about some of the various open source and other video players out there for developers to choose from. We will also discuss the customization capabilities and feature comparisons for some of the available players and factors that should be considered when choosing one. We will also compare to custom building your own player and the considerations, benefits and drawbacks of such.

If you are working with Flash Video and have ever asked yourself which video player to use, or should I just build one myself and where to start – this session is for you!

    • 12:00-1:00 Pacific time?

      EDIT

Seems the Agenda lists the start time as "10AM MTN" - so I suppose that answers my question.  The webinar starts at 12:00 Eastern time, 11:00 Central, 10:00 Mountain, and 9:00 Pacific - Though PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong!

      • After closer inspection, it appears that the June 3rd webinar is 12:00 Eastern time, 11:00 Central, 10:00 Mountain, and 9:00 Pacific.

The jury is still out on the July 14th webinar...

        • For some reason in the date and time section it doesn't reflect time zones. The July 14th presentation will be at 10am MTN. Thanks for pointing that out Joe.

    • Will there be any discussion on the upcoming open player initiative (or whatever it's called)?

And Ross poses a good question above...

      Thanks

      • I believe what your referring to as the upcoming open player is Adobe Strobe which you can check out here at http://www.adobe.com/products/strobe/. You'll be glad to know that on June 3rd at 10am MTN our presentation will introduce the new Adobe Strobe framework. You can check it out here http://groups.adobe.com/posts/1db6aace4c. Hope this helps.

        • Actually, I wonder about that.  I think you may be accurate, though Joe may have been referring to : http://www.openvideoplayer.com/ - the Open Video Player Initiative that Adobe Strobe seems to have been derived from....

          • Ross, we will also be covering the Open Video Player Intiative in the Presentation.

    • Thanks guys.

I think most people, like myself, are interested in both the open video player initiative and what components/documention the mothership plans to release.

      Looking forward to it!
