The Time Zone is Mountain Standard Time

What time zone is the time listed?
Haven't posted much details yet since its still a ways a way but the time zone will be Mountain Standard Time
With your background, have you a answer for these questions :
What will be the future technology that will dominate, Download or Streaming?
What is the market for download?
Why people want to keep at home and manage the content (VoD, movies, Tv show..) and get all the troubles when you can have access to a web data base that will manage all for you? No standalone player, no DataBase, no physical constrain, you need only a connection, browser with the plugin and you are happy!
Last one, for security purpose, what is the easier to protect, streaming or download ?
Sorry to bothering you with my questions, but I'll be happy to know your opinion. Thanks D.
Your questions are pointed at Florian, but I'll take a stab if you don't mind.
1) First off, I'm not sure if you mean Download, or Progressive Download (there is a big difference). I will answer with my opinion on both matters. Download vs Streaming - its hard to make a comparison here. With the uptick of cloud computing and ubiquitous broadband connections, I imagine that Streaming will eventually be the primary method for viewing video, despite the human nature towards collecting things. Progressive Download vs. Streaming - Streaming has already won this battle. It offers a better user experience in all regards, and offers better methods for the protection of content.
2) I will let this one be, as I am not quite sure as to the scope of the question.
3) This is a good question, when worded that way, why would anyone want to have a local copy of everything and deal with the troubles? There are many reasons. 1. People are private and like to keep their data and videos that way. If they put it up online, it is perceived to be public rather than private. This is a perception thing, not an actuality, necessarily. 2. Broadband internet is not at 100% penetration. There are many places in the US that don't have access to broadband, and many others where it is still very expensive. 3. People like to be in control. It is human nature. If the data is not under their control, they become uncomfortable. 4. A connection is a physical constraint - if the internet goes out for any reason, you cannot watch your videos. There are other reasons, but I think this paints a good enough picture.
4) I think I already answered this one. Streaming all-the-way.
