Aperian Global is a global management consulting company headquartered in San Francisco, California with offices worldwide.  We provide training, consulting and a suite of web tools to help clients be effective on a global scale. 

We have an opening on our technical team for someone who can support and grow our existing Cold Fusion applications, as well as a new generation of Flash based eLearning applications. 

This is initially a contract position, but there is potential for an eventual move to employee status for right individual. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 Working on the design, development and deployment of our web tools.
 Maintaining Cold Fusion 8 applications and developing new tools and functionality
 Assisting with prioritization and scheduling of maintenance and new project timelines.

Compensation: Commensurate with qualifications and prior experience.

Qualifications include:

Analysis Skills:
 Ability to understand business needs and lead the technical implementation
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
 Good written/oral skills a must
 Ability to follow functional specifications and translate into CF and Flash code
 Ability to design the system and database schemas
 Respond responsibly to aggressive deadlines

Technical skills:
 Must have a minimum of 3 years web development experience
o Essential: Cold Fusion MX 8, JavaScript, CSS, XML.
o Desired: ASP.NET / PHP, Ruby, Java
 Minimum of 3 years of SQL Server 2000-2005 or related experience, specifically:
o Knowledge of TSQL
 Minimum of 3 years Flash experience and experience with Flash 8; Essential to know ActionScript 2.0
 Experience with deployment of applications from development/staging environments to production
 Familiarity/experience with localization (foreign language adaptation)
 QA experience
