      Hey guys, today is Day one of Adobe's MAX conference.  Cool things today were:

      • Flash CS5 Prerelease will be in Beta before 2009 is out
      • Flash CS5 can publish to the iPhone
      • Flash Player 10.1 delivers access to raw Microphone data
      • Flash Player 10.1 gives us Multitouch gestures and input for touchscreen
      • Flash Player 10.1 has done lots of work around getting your video and apps to run on mobile including video hardware acceleration and memory improvements
      • Coldfusion 9 is released

    • Well I was going to ask if this extends to Flex also running on the iPhone, but as I was loggin in I just saw a Tweet from Mike Chambers that reads "Ely greenfield just showed flex mobile framework running on iPhone" (@mesh https://twitter.com/mesh/statuses/4671918966). So I guess that's more good news!!

    • glad you brought that up!  I was talking with Adrian about this and we speculated Flex should be able to run, so glad to see confirmation.  I'm also glad you brought up the distinction of the mobile framework.  I'd imagine you'd need some of Flash 10.1's multitouch features to use a UI effectively.
