      With the recent influx of people into the UG I thought it'd be great to start thinking about meet-ups. I'm not sure we're big enough to schedule recurring UG "meetings", but it'd give us a chance to get to know each other and start sharing our Über programming skills / techniques.

      Let's hear your suggestions. Recommend a place and time and we'll try and choose one that suits everyone.

    • Hi,

      I think we should promote the group more before scheduling a meeting. Doing a quick search un agent solo and a lot of company are using CF, so we should invite them first to join the group.

      What kind of meeting are you thinking about ?

      • If you guys want, we can introduce your group at one of our swfMontreal.com meetings. We are having one sometime end of May or beginning of June. There might be some folks interested in joining. I particularly started learning CF, so I am interested in being at your meetings.

          Sorry for the late reply, it's been a busy week... I'd definitely be interested in seeing what a swfMontreal meeting looks like. I obviously can't ignore the opportunity to talk about our new CFUG to try and get some new members :D.

          • Sure. Any time you want to do a talk at swfMontreal, let me know I will arrange it.

            If you want, we could try fitting your agenda in our meetings and do a joint meeting until you guys pick up more volume. Let me know if this interest you, I will consult it with my co-manager and our group. 

            We are meeting on May 28th. If you want to come and make an announcement for the CF group, you are welcome to do so.

            Just two extra cents of help :) If you decide to meet somewhere, let me know I'd would like to join you.

              I'm definitely interested in coming to your meeting. Going forward from there we could see if doing joint meetings would be good for everyone involved :).

    • We definately need more people in the UG. Although, what I had in mind at this point was very informal. At our current size we probably still fit in a coffee shop somewhere.

      I'll try and send an invite out to those people on agentsolo.com. In the meantime, if anyone knows CF'ers out there please invite them :).

    • For the meeting room, I work part time in a private french school in Mtl. I am pretty sure I can schedule the meeting room or the auditorium ( when Ben Forta will come visit us !!! ) on a regular basis.

      We will have access to a projector to do presentation.
