    Content:

    Hi Guys,

my name is Filippo di Pisa and I've just published with Apress and interesting book about Java EE and Flex.

    http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Java-Flex-Migrating-Developers/dp/1430223855/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1265238192&sr=1-1

I think is very interesting to push Flex,Spring,Hiberante and Maven to all Flex and Java developers, because are all great EE frameworks and can improve the quality of code and application development on the market.

My book is not just about  connect Java and Flex, but much more.

I show you in details how to use Spring, Hibernate, BlazeDS, Flex and how to put all togheter using Maven the next genration tool to build and deploy EE applications.

The book comes also with a Flex-Spring-Hibernate-BlazeDS maven archetype that allow you to create Flex-Java project with all configuration files ready to work within you Eclipse.

It is selling very well in US, UK, Japan and Germany so I thought could be interesting also for you.

    Many thanks

    Filippo di Pisa

Hi Filippo, I've bought your book and i am learning a lot with it. However, in the last chapter, i'm not being able to create the project using your maven archetype. When i click on finish to create the project i get a nullPointerException. Do you have any idea of what could be causing the error? Thanks again for the great book!

      Hi Marco,

sorry for the late answer but I've been very  busy.

I've just tried to create a flex-spring-hibernate-blazeds maven project using my archetype and it works.

I've also tried deleting my local repository forcing the archetype to download all dependencies and plugins again and it works.

Please tell me your OS, eclipse and maven version.

      Many thanks

      Filippo
