      Job Description:

      The Webmaster has responsibility for management, maintenance and the daily operations for the station web sites. Previous experience with television station web site design/development a big plus. This individual will collaborate with Sales, News, Promotions and Engineering to produce and maintain a high quality Internet site.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Acts as the team specialist in matters of web site.

      • Provides support for sales transactions.

      • Programs various applications in HTML and ASP.NET.

      • Works with Adobe Photoshop on creating and customizing web graphics

      • Customizes Flash animation based on various requirements.

      • Works with the Sales, News, Creative Services, and other members of the station staff on web implementation of various campaigns/promotions

      • Ability to integrate text images, audio and video file components, and links to relevant Internet resources into an appealing and thoughtful online package.

      • Handles various content management systems

      Skills required/Qualifications:

      • Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a BA or BS in Business Administration, Graphic Arts, Fine Arts or related degree

      • Experience in Adobe Photoshop (advanced) and Illustrator, Macromedia Fireworks and Flash, MS Front Page or Dreamweaver.

      • Very strong knowledge of HTML, DHTML, Cascading Style Sheets. ASP (VB Script) or ASP.NET, JavaScript, database knowledge helpful.  Must be able to hand-code HTML and not use WISWIG.

      • Experience designing and maintaining medium- to large-scale websites.

      • Experience in creating or editing online content and the production processes of Internet sites, and a working exposure to marketing principles and concepts.

      • An extensive understanding of graphical user interface design, information design, interactive design and web usability through planning, developing and implementing interfaces, web pages and tools for site navigation.

      • Experience in developing web-compliant online advertising creative. 
        General understanding of information architecture and web-related technologies

      • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.

      • Ability and willingness to learn new applications

      • Proficient in Windows, MS Office, Internet browsers (IE and Netscape), and Internet operations

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
