      Title:
May Meeting - Fireworks CS4: A whipped topping AND a floor wax!
      Date and Time:
      May 7, 2009 from 4:00pm - 6:30pm
      Address:
      12345 College Blvd.
      Overland Park, KS
      google map
      Agenda:

We sometimes see Fireworks as the red-headed stepchild of the Creative Suite. But for an increasing number of projects involving on-screen graphics and even high-resolution print work, Fireworks can do some pretty amazing things.

Some of our group members use Fireworks for EVERYTHING. We'll find out why!

      • If you haven't yet given us your RSVP, please click the "Sign In" link in the upper-right corner of this page. Sign in with your Adobe ID, then RSVP for this event. We are discontinuing our old methods of meeting RSVPs in favor of this Adobe Groups web site. If you don't have an Adobe ID, it's easy to get one!

You'll definitely want the 10.0.3 updater!

      • Fireworks CS4 10.0.3 updater - 5/06/09 - This update to Adobe® Fireworks® CS4 software greatly improves stability for users running Fireworks CS4 on both Mac OS and Windows. A number of issues have been addressed in this release, including bugs that caused text to shift. Several bugs that occurred when copying and pasting text from Microsoft Office (2007/2008) applications have also been fixed. Full Release Notes are available.

    • I always seem to find that websites/apps are lacking in two things. 1) Interaction Design and 2) Good writting. These things often fall on a designers shoulders, especially in small offices. While I can easily say that good web writting is best when it is very lean, interaction design is undefined, and gets ignored, causing more iterations.

I would love to see Fireworks demos on rapid prototyping! Check out these links on prototyping.
