      KCDesignCore Meeting: Poster Design Hands-On Lab and Contest

      Our meeting on Thursday, February 5 will be a chance to "give back to those who are giving back." We'll be doing a hands-on lab to develop a poster to promote the upcoming Coders4Charities event. Doug Butscher, the organizer of the event, will talk to our group about Coders4Charities and then we'll each go to work designing a poster using the full set of Adobe Creative Suite tools at the JCCC Regnier Center. If you need to pair up and work with someone else, that's great, or you can work individually.

      The winner of the contest will receive (a) fame, (b) fortune, (c) recognition from your esteemed peers and (d) a gift subscription to Indesign Magazine! We'll have other giveaways too.

      The end result of our efforts will be used to help promote this event to the Kansas City non-profit community as an example of what can happen when talent and volunteerism work together.
