Happy April to you all,

This month our Adobe Group meeting will be on April 16th, a Tuesday.  I had a conflict on our usual date so mark your calendars, April 16, Tuesday 7 -8:30.

Agenda: A bit of theatrics for this meeting, fancy lighting effects and puppetry...more on this later.

Agenda: Fonts & Typography

We had a request to talk about creating your own font.  We will touch on some resources for doing this...some free others not so much.  

To create a font you need to know tons of stuff about words, letters and typography in general and its uses.  The meeting will also be about parts of a letter, uses, history of classic fonts, and forsooth, if Nancy be present, perhaps a bit with a dog.

Bring along any tips you have for font use in Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Indesign for a tipswap.

February meeting cancelled, ouch

Hey everyone,

Our normally scheduled meeting for this month has been cancelled...it should have been tonight.  But between the storm which threw me out of whack for the week and a conflict with schedules for presentations I fear a meeting won't work right now.

Please pass on (to me) suggestions for meeting topics that I can research for next month though.  I am hoping we might have some new Adobe swag by then...if not I will put together some Chris art swag for raffling and maybe a few techie swizzles and wuzzles.  

PLEASE SEND IDEAS for topics.  I like learning this stuff and then it is great to pass on knowledge that you request and need.
