Via Bill, Forum Nokia and Adobe have organized the Nokia Open Lab Milan on the day before MAX starts in Milan.
“Are you a Flash-based designer planning to visit Adobe MAX Europe this December? Book your trip a little bit early and come play with us at Sophia’s Restaurant in downtown Milan the night before the main event. We’d like you to eat, drink, and invent with others some simple ideas for lightweight applications that you can later build and sell yourselves.”
“At the end of the evening they will be awarding a brand new MacBook Pro loaded with CS4 Designer Collection to one attendee based on the best concept and presentation. There’s a limited number of spots available so register quickly before it fills-up.”
Looks like it will be a great event, and a great way to start the MAX experience

Great Job liz!

Today Adobe has announced the new Flash Lite 3.1 distributable player.
The distributable player solution enables developers to create rich applications for the latest version of Flash Lite and directly distribute their content to millions of open OS smartphones providing a better on-device user experience. The solution mimics the successful Flash Player desktop model of content-triggered downloads for applications (rather than web-browsing). Developers and content providers no longer need to worry about whether the device has the latest Flash Lite runtime.
Hartti Suomela from forum nokia has made post of his notes from the Tips and tricks Flash Lite session @ MAX.

Below are a couple of the notes he made:
Congrats to Dale, darren, Scott and alessandro (50+ attendees), wish i'd been able to attend :)
A couple of weeks ago, nokia gave an eSeminar showcasing the ability for Flash Lite to access device API's (such as GPS, sensors, contacts, filesystem etc) via actionscript on nokia handsets running S60 5th edition (check out the new nokia 5800 'tube' touchscreen device). Read the rest of the post for more details, and to view the recording and download sample files.

| ustwo™ has created a helpful tutorial for all the brave souls just getting into Capuchin development at Sony Ericsson Developer World. It explains how to use J2ME and Flash Lite together to create an RSS Motion Feeder, in which you can control the scrolling speed of an RSS ticker by tilting your phone. |

Hi all, and welcome to the Adobe Groups UK MaD portal.
The guys over at adobe have been slaving away for the last couple of months to produce a new area for all the usergroups to host their sites in one place, and really build on the sense of community between different Adobe product users.
