Thank You! Until August....

Hello everyone!  I just wanted to send out a thank you to everyone, especially those who attended and participated in our meetings for the first 'semester' of 2012.

Everything went quite well, and we really appreciate all the feedback that we have received. The second semester will be even better because of your suggestions.

We are currently working on our new schedule and presenter lists... The next meeting will be late August, perhaps early September.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments during the summer.

Hello all!

2011 was a great year for the group, and 2012 is shaping up to be even better.

We are beginning a new series of workshops to help students and freelance designers to improve their skills. Our first two workshops will focus on:

- developing skills and efficiencies with Photoshop and Illustator (a bit of a pre-requisite, if you will) hosted by Chris Maric

- Digital painting workshop hosted by Devon Sandboe

We will also be doing workshops in the upcoming year for: photography, web design and animation.

New Programs New Format!

Hey everyone,

Lessons learned from last year... Although the format we had with events at the University was great, I think we will reserve those as specialty events, as it is sometimes difficult to secure times there.

I believe it's important that we have the proper resources when we do this meetings (computers, TVs, projectors, etc...) so I'm not keen at holding regular meetings at the WildRose. (Again, we will definitely keep doing special events there as well.)

We are currently in the process of working with the group Teach to Learn Calgary to secure a monthly meeting at a great spot.

I won't announce it until we have the meeting finalized, which I hope will be in the next few days.

Sorry for the delays with the group, but we are breaking it down and building it from the ground up.

2011 will be a great year for this group. We will keep you posted with updates.
