About the position and desired candidate:
We are looking for a Lead Flash Developer, a master at stretching the limits of what’s possible with Flash AS3 and delivering video and audio on all platforms, who’s looking to take ownership of and build the front-end applications for a new service platform to power an award-winning Content Delivery Network (CDN).

You’ll form the backbone of our Flash development team and be responsible for planning, architecture, integration and development through final delivery. Your projects will span immersive and interactive rich media interfaces, sophisticated reporting, analytics, and content management systems, and industry-leading integrations of rich media with social networking.

You are able to evaluate open source solutions and provide buy vs. build guidance, and are a resourceful technical lead who has all the answers or knows where to get them. You take great pride in every line of code you write, and you will own your own projects for which you are accountable and recognized for. You think in OOP and code with re-usability in mind. Your code is developed for scalability and to serve a diverse client base, requiring sensitivity to cross-browser and cross-platform issues. You keep abreast of the latest Flash developments, and are ready to translate our internal and clients' business goals into usable front-end applications that communicate with our back-end platforms and content delivery network.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an expert ActionScript programmer to help lead the development of our thin UI layer for interactive TV viewing. We are developing an Adobe AIR application to run on Linux, but will also be building web based services and mobile services utilizing Adobe Flash.
