Aperian Global is a global management consulting company headquartered in San Francisco, California with offices worldwide.  We provide training, consulting and a suite of web tools to help clients be effective on a global scale. 

We have an opening on our technical team for someone who can support and grow our existing Cold Fusion applications, as well as a new generation of Flash based eLearning applications. 

This is initially a contract position, but there is potential for an eventual move to employee status for right individual. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 Working on the design, development and deployment of our web tools.
 Maintaining Cold Fusion 8 applications and developing new tools and functionality
 Assisting with prioritization and scheduling of maintenance and new project timelines.

Qualifications include:

Analysis Skills:
 Ability to understand business needs and lead the technical implementation
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
 Good written/oral skills a must
 Ability to follow functional specifications and translate into CF and Flash code
 Ability to design the system and database schemas
 Respond responsibly to aggressive deadlines

Technical skills:
 Must have a minimum of 3 years web development experience
o Essential: Cold Fusion MX 8, JavaScript, CSS, XML.
o Desired: ASP.NET / PHP, Ruby, Java
 Minimum of 3 years of SQL Server 2000-2005 or related experience, specifically:
o Knowledge of TSQL
 Minimum of 3 years Flash experience and experience with Flash 8; Essential to know ActionScript 2.0
 Experience with deployment of applications from development/staging environments to production
 Familiarity/experience with localization (foreign language adaptation)
 QA experience

Our client is seeking a Senior Flex Developer with prior Software Engineering experience. Candidates should have 1-2 years of Flex/Air development experience, preferrably in a Flex framework (Cairngorm, Parsley, etc). Strong Unit Testing expeirence is required. Please call for more details!

Qualifications include:

• Expertise in Adobe ColdFusion 8, Flash 3, Flex, ActionScript 2.0/3.0
• 3+ years of direct experience in web application development
• 2+ years of Java development experience
• 2+ years of database development experience
• Experience with enterprise web installs
• Working knowledge of SQL server architecture
• High familiarity with structured HTML / JavaScript / CSS (web design standards)
• Effective communication skills both technically and business-wise
• Understanding of how to test and monitor web services at machine and application levels

In addition:

• Knowledge of real estate investment is a plus
• You must be able to handle the demands of a fast paced environment, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects

Required Job Related Skills and Experience
    * BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
    * Minimum of 3 years of practical experience using Cold Fusion, ColdFusion MX, JavaScript, XML, SQL; working knowledge of Java, AJAX, Web Services, Flex, Oracle, PL/SQL  is a plus
    * Working knowledge of software development life cycle (analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation)
    * Experience working successfully with changing priorities and risk - demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
