Web Developer - ColdFusion - 6 Months Contract - Angus

Abrecco wish to recruit, on behalf of our Client, a Web Developer with in-depth knowledge of ColdFusion. This is an initial 6 Months contract working on web systems used to deliver a range of dynamic content to a wide audience. The winning candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Essential:
- ColdFusion (CFML)
- Track record of developing dynamic, content rich web sites
- Oracle

"A company I'm working with is in need of 6 Coldfusion Developers for a 1 year fixed term contract in their Glasgow office.

You'd essentially be part of a 12 man crack team revolutionising their products & subsequently their industry.

While you must be willing to hammer out code, you would of course be using Coldfusion MX in a J2EE environment, along with HTML & Javascript. It would be handy to have SQL and RDBMS. If you had experience with source code control and defect tracking systems (preferably Teamtrack), you would have an extreme advantage.

And we want the best web developers to come on board and help us deliver them. Ideally you'll be an internet obsessive; with a passion for user focused standards based web development.

You enjoy sharing your knowledge with a wider team, and gaining from the experience of others.

You are up to speed with existing and emerging online technologies, and able to demonstrate some core skills – but with a willingness to build on them.

Essential skills:

Dynamic web development using CFML
SQL language and database administration
JavaScript
XHTML and CSS

Desirable:

Non-CFML development skills such as Java, PHP, ASP, Ruby on Rails, etc
General experience of hosting and server management including Linux and Windows admin, Apache/Tomcat, IIS and source control systemssuch as Subversion
