As the title suggests, I have aquired the norcalflash.com domain. We will keep norcalflex.com and norcalflash.com will point to the same location (here on the Adobe Groups site).

Hey guys, we are looking for people to do presentations on any Flash of Flex related topic. Please let me know if you would like to present. These topics are generally about 45-60 minutes in length. If you've never done a presentation before but feel like you might be interested I would be happy to help you out.

Also, I am looking to fill the c-omanager position within the group. If you are interested, give me a shout. You will help organize meetings, assist in finding and organizing presenters, organize special events. It requires about 4 hours a month.

In the meatime I am reaching into my network for people to come to the area and do presentations for us, I'll keep you advised!

As the title suggests, the name change is official! The focus of the group will encompass all Adobe's Flash technologies, including Flex and AIR.

The primary purpose for this change was to expand the overall focus of the group and enable all members to learn many aspectsof the Flash Platform. Flash development and design are not just about one or two products. With the advent of Flash Catalyst this is even more apparent, and now designers and developers can more easily work together on Flash projects.

Our goal is to provide a community who can learn from each other and share their experiences and skillsets with others. Designers can learn from developers and developers can learn from designers! 

For each meeting we will attempt to focus on one topic for Flash Design and one for Flash Development. Topics will include Flash Professional, Flash Catalyst, Flex Framework and Flash Builder, Flash Media Server, LiveCycle Data Services and other AMF engines, Flash Lite, AIR and more.

We hope that you will join us as we expand our horizons!

We are working on the details for the June meeting. I will post more info on it as I know more. Hopefully we have something very special in store for you!

As the title suggests, we are looking for a few good sponsors! First and foremost, we need a sponsor to provide a stable location for our meetings. These are held every third Thursday at 6:30pm and last approximately 2.5 hours. We do offer guests refreshments and snacks, but we are also good about cleaning the meeting room before we leave. We need a projector and a projection screen in the room we meet in and much have room for 20-30 people. If you are interested please contact me.

We could also use a sponsor to help with the cost of refreshments and snacks and other small expenses. This averages $150 a month. Sanative has been sponsoring the group since it's inception so it would be nice to have an another sponsor to split these costs with.
