Introduction to the ColdSpring Framework
The ColdSpring framework for ColdFusion was originally modeled after the Spring framework for Java for handling dependency injection (DI), inversion of control (IoC) and aspect oriented programming (AOP). However, this complex sounding terminology often obscures the incredible usefulness of the framework for people new to it. This presentation will focus specifically on what problems you will encounter in a service oriented architecture that ColdSpring can help you solve. We'll cover the basics of configuring ColdSpring and how to use DI, IoC and AOP to solve real world problems.
John Whish, the User Group Manager of Devon CFUG will be talking about Adobe's Centaur - the next version of ColdFusion. We'll also be covering the new ColdFusion IDE Bolt, and some of the enhanced features in the Flex 4 framework.
Space is limited so RSVP is essential.
Kevin Roche will be speaking about Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and cfSpec at the Devon CFUG on Wednesday 13th May.
Over the last few weeks I have been preparing a presentation on BDD, mostly to get the ideas straight in my own head. If you are interested in this new way of thinking about development it would be great to see you in Exeter next week.
The meeting will convene at 6:00pm for 6:30 Start at Crisp eBusiness. Map.
