Hey, I had the times wrong. We only have the space until 7pm. So I'm going to move the meeting to be 6pm - 7pm... I hope that still works for everyone.

Apparently I had a invalid link in the survey. Should be fixed now.

    Hiya Group,

Fill out this survey from O'Reilly (one of our sponsors) and recieve $200 worth of ebooks from them.

    ///////////////////////////////////////////

If you've used our popular programming Cookbooks, you know just how useful they can be in helping you solve all kinds of programming problems. (And if you haven't used our Cookbooks, check them out on our website. You can download sample recipes by clicking on specific book titles and selecting "Sample Recipes.")

We've received many requests for videos that present the Cookbook recipes step-by-step, so we recently created 4 sample clips that are available online.

Now we're eager to gather your feedback.

All you have to do is watch the sample video and tell us what you think about it. When you complete the survey, we'll automatically enter you into a special drawing.*

Three winners will receive the opportunity to select a collection of O'Reilly ebooks valued at up to $200.

*The drawing will be held on August 19, 2009. The winners will be notified via email. If we don't hear back from a winner within 14 days, the prize will be awarded to another survey respondent. Winners will have 90 days to make ebook selections.

Many people have been asking who is presenting. I just got hold of Terry Ryan's bio.

Terry Ryan is currently an Adobe Platform Evangelist for ColdFusion. He has been working with ColdFusion for 10 years.  He's presented at various Adobe ColdFusion events including cf.Objective, webDU, and Adobe Max.  Prior to joining Adobe, Terry worked for the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in various roles around ColdFusion from Application Developer to System Administrator.

He will be showcasing the next versions of Flex, Coldfusion, Flash Catalyst, and Bolt (the Eclipse based IDE for Coldfusion).

Join us Wednesday (TOMORROW) from 6 - 8pm at Demers Banquet Hall, 8225 Cantrell St. There is plenty of space, so bring friends and co-workers.

We've got great prizes and giveaways from Adobe and O'Reilly.

    See you tomorrow!

If you are dismissing coming to this tour from Adobe because you never use Flex, Cold Fusion, or Bolt, think again. We are going to be showing off Flash Catalyst, a new tool for DESIGNERS! Read below for more information.

Remember, Terry Ryan from Adobe, will be presenting Wednesday Jun 24th from 6-8 at Demers Banquet Hall on 8225 Cantrell St. 77074

Adobe® Flash® Catalyst™ is a new professional interaction design tool for rapidly creating user interfaces without coding.

    • Transform artwork created in Adobe Photoshop® and Adobe Illustrator® into functional user interfaces.
    • Create interactive prototypes with the ability to leverage them in the final product
    • Publish a finished project as a SWF file ready for distribution
    • Work more efficiently with developers who use Adobe Flash Builder™ 4 to create rich Internet applications (RIAs). Designers use Flash Catalyst to create the functional user experience then provide the project file to developers who use Flash Builder to add functionality and integrate with servers and services.

Create the user experience through an approachable interaction design tool for designers with no coding required:

    • No coding required: Create the user experience and make it functional without coding.
    • Sell your ideas: Be able to show a functional design instead of static screenshots to communicate your ideas.
    • Ensure your creative vision is accurately expressed: Design with the expressiveness of Flash Player including graphics, typography and 3D effects.

Rapidly create and deliver a finished SWF file or collaborate more effectively with developers:

    • Fast learning curve: If you can use Photoshop or Illustrator you can quickly learn to use Flash Catalyst.
    • Fast Interaction Design: Transform native Photoshop and Illustrator files into functional user experiences. Publish finished projects for distribution as a SWF file.
    • Collaborate more effectively with developers: Provide Flash Catalyst projects to developers who use Flash Builder to add additional functionality and integrate with servers and services.

    Hiya Houston Adobe Users Group.

I noticed that I had a typo on the original Tour date for us. Houston's Tour date is Wednesday, June 24th.
