Here is the more tweaked photo. I wonder which they'll prefer. Hopefully ONE of them looks like her!

I used the blue channel and turned the original into a gray scale. then cleaned up all the artifacts from the water damage. Next I turned the finished photo into a gray scale copy and cut and pasted both the head and corsage (which I had left out of the color restoration). Here's the result. I also lightened her up a bit as her tan made her look far too dark. I think this is the end of this project. chuck will be here Thursday and I'm meeting him to give him all the photos to take home with him. It begins to sound like they are really getting excited to see them. I hope they will be pleased. ~Paula
Unable to keep myself under control (((deep sigh))), I did something more: see the next post

This is the lasdt finished copy of this group of photos. Please feel free to comment and give helpful directions for further improvements. I'll bring 5x7 prints to our next meeting for final critical comments and suggestions.

Possibly all done but the hard part...
Posting these I found one more of the Bride I haven't touched yet. I have had a reoccuring annoying event I am anxious to talk about in our meeting in the hopes someone can enlighten me so I can stop it from happening.
Also I deliberately left in the stray corner tabs as a deliberate artifact.

Here are the Ives' wedding photos I've worked on since our last meeting. I'm posting just in case I am unable to get one more ride in from Gig Harbor for our meeting Monday. One photo I'm not entirely happy with (the group shot on the church steps) and the other is still not complete (Mother of Groom coming down asile). I am not entirely sure what I can do about it just yet so will appreciate comments and suggestions. I can see you don't know if you're done until you look at a proof print!
Hoping to see you all in a couple of days!
Cheers, Paula

Please see the note in the last picture of this group (just before "Barbara's Challenge"). Of course I posted it first so hopefully there will not be too much confusion. The pictures of jeannie are possible aides to fixing the last photo in the group: the mother of the groom and the groom's cousin. There are very few photos of Jeannie as she is usually the one behind the camera. Chuck says this has been a bit of a wake up call to the family to get more photos of her! (Probably a lesson we all need reminding of).
Again, thank you in advance to all who choose to work on one or some or all of these photos. I can say they didn't know anything at all could be done and will be extremely grateful for anything we are able to accomplish. As for me, I appreciate all who participate and share what we learned by way of this project. ~ Paula Varner
Jeannie is in the center. this is one of three pictures that may be helpful in fixing the Mother of the Groom photo. This one is B&W so unsure if it will be of any use. An option may be to make the entire photo B&W.

Jeannie is in the lower left. this is one of three pictures that may be helpful in fixing the Mother of the Groom photo.
