Make sure that you've signed up to receive email notification of Cyndi's NBAUG Blog entries. In the Resources pane on the right side of our new NBAUG website is a small button that you can click on to subscribe to the Blog. This is the main method for NBAUG management to communicate with everyone in our group. You might want to subscribe to the Event Calendar, also.
We are very excited about our November 30th presentation at 7pm in Newman Auditorium. Jay Daniel from Black Cat Studios will start out with a discussion of color theory, and HIS color expert Clark Olmholt from Spectraflow will talk on specifics of color management, including the use of profiles in Adobe software to get your monitor and printer to look the same.
And, as always, we will have fantastic raffle prizes.

I'm going to send out one last email using the old NBAUG email system to remind them to sign up for our Blog. I apologize in advance if you get this information twice. Cheers -- Cyndi.

Adobe Labs at http://labs.adobe.com/ is the place where you can try out new technologies from Adobe. This is often a place where Adobe will let the public beta test new software before it is released.
Today, Adobe announced Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 beta. It's heralded as a "new version that focuses on the fundamental priorities of customers: performance and image quality"
I've changed the bottom display of the NBAUG (North Bay Adobe User Group) so that ALL members are listed, even if there is no avatar (picture) for the member. The way that NBAUG was originally set up was so that ALL members would be listed if you clicked on the top link at the NBAUG website and only members with avatars would display at the bottom of the website.
It confused some folks into thinking that they weren't members when the bottom area did not display their name. (I guess that nobody wanted to look at the member list using the top hyperlink)
So... the sooner you log in to the NBAUG website and edit your profile to include an avatar (you'll upload it), the sooner we'll be able to see your smiling face. Or dog. Or favorite flower. Or whatever represents you best.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
So, what's your picture?
Cheers, Cyndi Reese. NBAUG manager.
