Application Developer (Cold Fusion)

This Consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications to support the business functions of the client.  Tasks this Consultant will be expected to perform include: 

·         Requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and documentation

·         Develop end-to-end designs for the web interfaces, reporting, and analysis components of projects

·         Provide advice and guidance on appropriate applications, reporting, and analysis architecture

·         Develop web portals, applications and other user interface components to facilitate the user interface to Business Intelligence resources

·         Assist Decision Support team members; DBAs, database developers, requirements analysts, and others, in understanding data and meeting user requirements

·         Participate in project work groups with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to understand data specific needs

·         Develop and document user security related functionality and constraints

·         Strong programming/development and coding skills

·         Excellent analytic and design skills

·         Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills

·         Ability to analyze complex and large amounts of data

·         Solid data analysis skills using SQL, PL/SQL and other query based applications

·         Oracle experience to include queries, tuning, creating tables, and stored procedures

·         B.S. in Computer Science, engineering, or related technical discipline  (Extensive, directly applicable experience may substitute for the academic degree requirement)

A minimum of two years of experience with ColdFusion or C/C#/C++ (with some MX experience), C#, Javascript, XML, HTML, SQL, PL\SQL, and Oracle v9 or higher.

A highly successful solutions provider is looking to bring in a Senior Flex Developer with a strong background in UI and Flash.  The team is tasked with building a global, enterprise level application using the latest technology for major Fortune 500 companies.  Technical proficiency, coupled with excellent communication and interaction skills are essential qualities for this role.  There will be business facing, team leading, and problem solving tasks in addition to coding.  This is a permanent opportunity to join a strong, growing company, and the candidate's mentality should be oriented as such.  Tentative start date: as soon as possible.

Required:

* Proven track record of consistently delivering high quality software in a fast paced, dynamic environment
* Proven ability to design and implement visually attractive and highly intuitive User Interfaces
* Excellent written/oral communication skills and experience communicating directly with customers throughout the entire lifecycle of a project
* Ability to take the lead on short term and long term projects, rallying internal team members and customers to ensure success
* Experience with Adobe Flex, Java, HTML, CSS required
* Experience with UI design

Desired:

* Development with Flash is a BIG plus
* Experience with open source projects and agile development methodologies (XP, etc) a plus 
* Experience with the following technologies a plus: J2EE, SQL, SOAP Web Services, Tomcat, Linux, Velocity, BIRT, Ant, JUnit, PostgreSQL, Oracle

Compensation: $80,000-$110,000 base + benefits, profit sharing and bonus.
