Job Description

This job will be working to design new UI concepts for a Flex based, enterprise application for a major PDX company. You'll need to think of innovative and fresh solutions while advocating for user-centered design.

We're looking for top level Visual UI Designer who has an extremely mature aesthetic sensibility, can create visual comps and assets from wireframes and experience working on complex corporate properties with style guides and strict specifications. All of this must be demonstrated on multiple projects in a portfolio. This is a super chance to do some blue sky thinking for Flex apps. BUT!! You'll have to land the plane back to earth and do some detailed asset creation as well. Part of the UI could already by fleshed out so in conjunction with the exploration you'll be working to build visual solutions that reflect the feature-rich capabilities inherent in the technology and the project. And due to the client's influence, this will affecting many people all over the world. Your portfolio must demonstrate thought/creative leadership as well as clues that you've worked on complex projects and with multiple stakeholders. Adapting to changing clients needs is par for the course, of course ;) All work has to be done at the client's site and this contract role should last about 4 months with possibilities for extension. Required Experience

At least five years working as a professional interface designer.
Keen understanding of basic usability principles and existing application frameworks.
Broad depth of experience with emphasis on application and user interface design.

Relevant to this group, I am looking for someone with strong AS3 skills, particularily at writing/modifying AS3 code well, in an object orientated manner. Design pattern experience a strong plus.

Current need is for helping to modify a flash-sites navigation/page/templating system, next month I have another project which will be for working on a 3D geometric shape with images that can be loaded on each side of the spinning shape, and transitional states betweenm them.

I'm looking for help because work loads are now getting too high for me to handle alone.

The Web User Experience Engineer assists with the integration of information design and project concepts, and translates visual designs, user experience flows and content into functional and engaging interfaces for client projects.
