The presentation tonight will cover some of the new data centric features in FlashBuilder 4 and I'll be showing you how to integrate Coldfusion 9 services into your Flex applications. Although I'll be using Coldfusion, the features demonstrated will work with PHP and other server-side technologies.

The Early Bird registration discount ends on August 31st. Still on the fence about attending? Here are some things to think about:
Follow me @tombray. Any time I find useful Flex related info that I want to pass on to the group, I'll post it. Info regarding L.A. Flex meetings specifically will have the #laflex hashtag.
There will be pizza & networking from 7:30 to 8:00, followed by my presentation on Flex application architecture & Spring ActionScript. The presentation will have something for beginners and advanced Flexers alike. If you haven't heard of Spring ActionScript, you'll definitely want to see this!
If you haven't heard by now, Adobe MAX 2009 is going to be in our lovely home town of Los Angeles on October 4-7!
The attached PDF contains all the Flex-related sessions at MAX. Be sure to read through it because you'll get a sense of all the great stuff you can learn when you attend. The sessions alone are worth the cost of entry and the networking opportunities and the chance to meet the Adobe team makes attending even more valuable.
Once you're thoroughly impressed, click here to register! Using that link will contribute to the L.A. Flex group and if 10 folks sign up, we'll have a free pass to raffle off but we have to hurry so sign up now! Then get your co-workers and friends to sign up!
I just posted a bunch of helpful bookmarks for Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder 4 in the resources section of this site. Check 'em out!
